Short answer: No regional eSIM covers all of Asia. We sell 16 Asia packs and each one skips somewhere. Without mainland China, Asia 14 Countries 10 GB at $14.99 is the cheapest wide pack. With China, take Asialink 10 GB at $18.99. For Japan and Korea only, buy South Korea and Japan 10 GB at $12.99.

People search for an Asia regional eSIM and land on our Asia continent page, which lists single-country plans only. The multi-country packs sit on a separate page, our regional and multi-country plans page, mixed in with packs for Europe, Africa and the rest of the world. This guide pulls out the ones built for Asia and answers three questions from our own catalog data: which countries each pack covers, what it costs at 10 GB, and when two or three country plans would cost less. For how multi-country plans work in general, start with our guide to international eSIMs.

Which regional eSIM packs for Asia do we sell?
We counted every multi-country plan family in the catalog whose coverage is mainly East, Southeast or South Asia. That gives 16 families from five providers. We left out the Middle East packs, Saudi and UAE, and Central Asia, which count as Asia on a map but are not what most people mean by an Asia trip.
| Pack | Countries | Japan? | Mainland China? | 10 GB, 30 days (or nearest) | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| APAC | 21 | Yes | Yes | 12 GB, $28.99 | 3 |
| Asialink | 16 | Yes | Yes | $18.99 | Airalo |
| Asia 14 Countries | 14 | Yes | No | $14.99 | TSimTech |
| Asia | 14 | No | No | $40.99 | eSIMGo |
| Asia Premium | 11 | No | Yes | $24.99 | TSimTech |
| Asia Premium Short Trip | 11 | No | Yes | 3 GB for 5 days only, $7.99 | TSimTech |

Country counts group territories with their country, the way our catalog does, and match the number on each product page. “Nearest” means the cheapest plan in that family with at least 10 GB and 30 days, or the only sizes it has.
Two things stand out. Only one pack, APAC, covers Japan, mainland China, Taiwan and India together, and at $28.99 for 12 GB it is one of the dearest at this size. And the pack with the plainest name, Asia, is the worst value on the list: it costs $40.99 for 10 GB and has neither Japan nor China.
Which countries does each Asia pack cover?
The family names do not tell you much. Here are the full lists for the eight packs most people will choose between, as they read on 24 October 2026:
- APAC (21): Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
- Asialink (16): Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam. No Taiwan, no India.
- Asia 14 Countries (14): Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam. No mainland China, no Singapore.
- Asia (14): Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam. No Japan, China, India, Philippines or Cambodia.
- Asia Premium (11): China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam. No Japan, no India.
- Asia 7 Countries (7): Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam.
- Vietnam Plus (6): Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam. Despite the name, it is a Southeast Asia pack with South Korea added.
- Greater China and Taiwan Premium (4): China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan.
The smaller packs do what their names say. China Korea Japan covers those three, China HK Macau covers those three, both Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand packs cover those three, Brunei Plus covers Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia, and South Korea and Japan covers those two.
The gaps follow a pattern. Singapore is missing from Asia 14 Countries, Taiwan from Asialink, and Japan from every pack built around Southeast Asia. A Japan, Thailand and Singapore trip is covered by APAC and Asialink and by no smaller Asia pack.
Which Asia eSIM packs include mainland China?
Eight of the 16 families include mainland China: APAC, Asialink, Asia Premium and its short-trip version, Greater China and Taiwan Premium, China Korea Japan and its short-trip version, and China HK Macau. The cheapest one at 10 GB or more for 30 days depends on where else you go:
| Route with China | Cheapest pack, 10 GB or more, 30 days | Price |
|---|---|---|
| China with Japan, South Korea or both | China Korea Japan 12 GB (TSimTech) | $15.99 |
| China with Taiwan, Hong Kong or Macau | Greater China and Taiwan Premium 10 GB | $16.99 |
| China with Southeast Asia | Asialink 10 GB | $18.99 |
| China with Taiwan and Southeast Asia | Asia Premium 10 GB | $24.99 |
| China with Taiwan and India | APAC 12 GB | $28.99 |
Every China pack also lists where your data connects to the internet. On these plans the listing gives Hong Kong or Macau, and on Asialink it gives no location. If that matters for the apps you use, read our guide to where a travel eSIM’s IP address comes from and our note on a US and China trip before you choose.
Is an Asia regional eSIM cheaper than separate country plans?

Sometimes, and the opening table shows both outcomes. For a fair comparison we split the 10 GB evenly across the countries on the route and priced the cheapest 30-day plan with that much data in each one. In most of these countries the smallest 30-day plan with enough data is 5 GB, so on a three-country route the separate plans buy 15 GB in total against the pack’s 10 GB.
The pack wins on Japan and Korea ($12.99 against $14.48), on Japan, Korea and China ($15.99 against $21.97), on Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand ($10.99 against $21.47), and on Thailand and Vietnam ($12.99 against $22.48). Vietnam is the swing factor in that last one. On 24 October 2026 its smallest 30-day plan was 20 GB at $15.99.
Separate plans win on Japan and Thailand ($13.98 against $14.99), on Japan and China ($14.98 against $15.99), and on China and Hong Kong ($14.98 against $16.99). Japan, Thailand, China and Hong Kong all have cheap 5 GB plans, so a pack has little room to undercut them.
Shorter legs change the maths again. If you spend a week in each country, 15-day plans are allowed, and they are much cheaper in Southeast Asia: Thailand 5 GB, Vietnam 10 GB and Cambodia 5 GB on 15-day plans came to $21.97 together, against $43.47 for the cheapest 30-day versions.
Our earlier multi-country vs single-country price comparison found that single-country plans usually win. That test priced each pack against one member country at a time, which is the right question for a one-country trip. A route through two or three countries asks a different question, one pack against two or three plans, and in Asia the pack often comes out ahead.
When does an Asia pack beat the plan for one country?
For a few countries the regional pack is cheaper even if you never leave. These are the countries where our cheapest multi-country plan with at least 10 GB and 30 days undercut the cheapest single-country plan with the same minimum, on 24 October 2026:
| Country | Cheapest single-country plan, 10 GB or more, 30 days | Cheapest pack that includes it |
|---|---|---|
| India | India 10 GB, $18.99 | Asia 14 Countries 10 GB, $14.99 |
| Cambodia | Cambodia 20 GB, $20.99 | Asia 14 Countries 10 GB, $14.99 |
| Vietnam | Vietnam 20 GB, $15.99 | Vietnam Plus 10 GB, $12.99 |
| Laos | No single-country plan | Asia 14 Countries 10 GB, $14.99 |
India is the clearest case: the 14-country pack costs $4 less than the India plan for the same 10 GB. For Cambodia and Vietnam the single-country plans start at 20 GB for 30 days, so if 10 GB is enough, the pack costs less. Laos had no plan of its own in our catalog on that date. Singapore looks close at first, but it also has a single-country 20 GB plan for $11.99, twice the data of the cheapest pack that includes it for $1 more.
For most other places the single-country plan is cheaper. Japan 10 GB costs $9.99, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia 10 GB cost $9.99 each, South Korea 10 GB costs $10.99, China 10 GB $11.99, and Taiwan 15 GB $12.99, all on 30-day plans.
Why do packs with similar names cover different countries?
Because each provider builds its own list, and the names come from the provider, not from us. Four pairs are worth knowing:
- Asia, Asia 14 Countries and Asia Premium are three different products from two providers. Asia 14 Countries has Japan and India. Asia Premium has China and Singapore. Asia has neither Japan nor China, and adds Australia, New Zealand and Uzbekistan.
- Singapore Malaysia Thailand and Singapore Malaysia and Thailand cover the same three countries but come from different providers. The first sells 3, 5, 10 and 20 GB and has no top-up. The second sells 15 GB at $12.99 and 30 GB at $15.99 and can be topped up.
- China Korea Japan 12 GB is sold twice: $15.99 from TSimTech without top-up, and $18.99 from 3 with top-up. Same countries, same data, $3 apart.
- APAC and Asialink look similar but split on Taiwan and India. APAC has both. Asialink has neither, and costs $10 less at roughly 10 GB.
The coverage list on the product page is the thing to check. If one stop on your route is missing, your phone has no data there.
What else differs between providers?
The rules on each pack come from its provider, so they move together:
| Provider | Packs | Top-up | 5G label | Plan starts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TSimTech | Asia 14 Countries, Asia Premium, Vietnam Plus, Greater China and Taiwan Premium, China Korea Japan ($15.99), Singapore Malaysia Thailand, Brunei Plus, both short-trip packs | No | Yes | When it connects to a network (Singapore Malaysia Thailand: on first data use) |
| 3 | APAC, South Korea and Japan, China Korea Japan ($18.99), China HK Macau, Singapore Malaysia and Thailand | Yes | Yes, except APAC | When you install it |
| Airalo | Asialink | Yes | No, 4G/LTE | On first data use |
| Sparks | Asia 7 Countries | Yes | Yes | On first data use |
| eSIMGo | Asia | Yes | No, 4G/LTE | On first data use |
Every pack on the list allows hotspot use. Two rules matter for planning. First, the TSimTech packs cannot be topped up, so pick a size with room to spare or plan on buying a second eSIM. Second, plans from 3 start when you install them, so install close to departure rather than the week before. For which multi-country plans carry the 5G label across all regions, see our guide to regional packs that list 5G.
How much data do you need for an Asia trip?

Our trip data calculator puts moderate use at 6–10 GB for 10 days, 8–14 GB for 14 days and 15–25 GB for 30 days. So 10 GB covers a moderate ten-day trip, and two weeks or more usually calls for the 20 GB size.
At 20 GB for 30 days the order shifts:
| Pack | 20 GB, 30 days |
|---|---|
| Singapore Malaysia Thailand | $16.99 |
| South Korea and Japan | $21.99 |
| Vietnam Plus | $22.99 |
| Asialink | $25.99 |
| Asia 14 Countries | $26.99 |
| Asia 7 Countries | $27.99 |
| Asia Premium | $45.99 |
At this size Asialink, which includes China, is $1 cheaper than Asia 14 Countries, which does not. If your route fits both lists, compare them at the size you will actually buy. China Korea Japan has no 20 GB size. Its next step up from 12 GB is 25 GB, at $26.99 from TSimTech.
FAQ
Is there one eSIM that covers all of Asia?
Not in our catalog. The widest Asia pack, APAC, covers 21 places including Japan, China, Taiwan, India and Singapore, but no Asia pack covers Mongolia, Nepal or the Maldives, for example. Global plans cover more countries but cost several times more per GB.
What is the cheapest Asia regional eSIM for 10 GB?
On 24 October 2026, Singapore Malaysia Thailand 10 GB at $10.99 was the cheapest 10 GB Asia pack, then South Korea and Japan 10 GB and Vietnam Plus 10 GB at $12.99 each. The cheapest wide pack was Asia 14 Countries 10 GB at $14.99.
Which Asia eSIM covers Japan, South Korea and China?
China Korea Japan covers those three. The 12 GB size costs $15.99 from TSimTech without top-up, or $18.99 from 3 with top-up. Asialink and APAC also cover all three but cost more.
Does the Asia 14 Countries eSIM work in China or Singapore?
No. Its 14 countries are Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. For China or Singapore, look at Asialink or Asia Premium.
Can I top up an Asia regional eSIM?
It depends on the provider. Packs from 3, Airalo, Sparks and eSIMGo can be topped up. TSimTech packs, including Asia 14 Countries, Asia Premium and Vietnam Plus, cannot.
Conclusion: pick the route first, then the pack
There is no single Asia eSIM. There are 16 lists, and the right one is the cheapest list that holds every stop on your route. Without China, Asia 14 Countries 10 GB at $14.99 covers the most for the least. With China, Asialink 10 GB at $18.99 does. For two or three neighbouring countries, a small pack such as South Korea and Japan or Singapore Malaysia Thailand usually beats both. Where your route pairs Japan, China, Hong Kong or Thailand, check whether two single-country plans cost less.
Before you buy, confirm
- Every country on your route appears in the coverage list on the product page.
- You checked whether the pack includes mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and India if any of them is a stop.
- You compared the pack with separate country plans if your route has only two or three stops.
- The size matches your trip: 6–10 GB for ten days of moderate use, 8–14 GB for two weeks, 15–25 GB for a month.
- You know whether the pack can be topped up and when it starts counting days.
