Regional eSIM With 5G: Which Multi-Country Packs List It

Short answer: 143 of the 310 multi-country eSIM plans in our catalog list 5G. Almost all cover Europe, East and Southeast Asia, North America, or Australia and New Zealand. No Latin America, Caribbean, Africa or global pack lists it. For a week across borders, buy Europe 7 GB at $10.99 or Asia 14 Countries 10 GB at $14.99.

Counts, labels and prices checked on 12 October 2026. Country counts are the ones shown on each product page. 7 GB is the top of the moderate range for a week in our trip data calculator, which also gives light and heavy ranges.

This guide answers one question: if you want one eSIM for several neighbouring countries and you want it to list 5G, which packs qualify. Our earlier 5G guide counts 5G across every plan, single-country ones included. The guide to places with no single-country plan covers which pack to buy when a pack is the only choice. Here the two conditions meet. All packs sit in the regional eSIM category. Plan details change, so treat the live listing on each product page as the source of truth before you buy.

A man with a green backpack stands on a sunny European railway platform looking down at his phone, a yellow suitcase beside him, while a conductor walks past a red train and passengers step down from the carriage
Four wide Europe packs that list 5G cover 34 to 36 countries. The cheapest size with 7 GB or more is $10.99.

What does “5G” mean on a multi-country eSIM pack?

It means the provider has put “5G/4G/LTE” in the plan’s network field. The label belongs to the plan as a whole. It is not broken down by country.

Every plan in our catalog has that field, and it has two possible values: “5G/4G/LTE” or “4G/LTE”. For a single-country plan the reading is simple. For a pack that covers 14 or 36 countries, one label has to stand for all of them, and nothing on the listing says which countries it applies to.

The providers add their own caveat. 133 of the 143 packs that list 5G carry the same sentence in their plan text: “5G availability depends on network coverage, regional device specifications, and phone settings.” It then says that where 5G is not available, the eSIM connects to 4G.

So read the label as a ceiling. A pack that lists 5G can reach 5G where the local roaming arrangement allows it. A pack that lists 4G/LTE will not go above 4G anywhere. We have no field that names the mobile operator in each country, so this guide does not compare networks.

How many regional eSIM packs list 5G?

Fewer than half: 143 of 310, or 46%. Single-country plans do better, with 373 of 611 listing 5G, or 61%.

The size of the pack matters more than anything else:

Countries in the packPlansList 5G
2 to 311776
4 to 104023
11 to 307411
31 to 605233
61 or more270

Two things stand out. Small packs for two or three neighbours list 5G about two times in three. And the 31 to 60 band, which is where the pan-European packs sit, does almost as well.

The gap is in the middle. Of the 74 plans that cover 11 to 30 countries, only 11 list 5G, and all 11 are Asian packs. That band also holds the wide Middle East, Latin America, Caribbean and Africa packs, and none of those list it.

The provider matters too. TSimTech lists 5G on 35 of its 39 multi-country plans and Sparks on 65 of 119. Airalo lists it on none of its 27.

Which Europe multi-country eSIM packs list 5G?

Twelve pack families do, covering 59 of the 89 Europe plans. Four of them are wide enough for almost any European route.

PackProviderCountriesSizes10 GB, 30 daysTop-up
EuropeNextLink362 GB to 50 GB, 7 plansNo 10 GB size. 7 GB is $10.99, 12 GB is $14.99Yes

Europe PremiumeSIMGo35Unlimited for 5, 10 or 15 daysFrom $25.99 for 5 daysNo
EuropeeSIMGo341 GB to 50 GB, 8 plans$13.99Yes

Two plans are both called Europe, so check the provider line. They differ in more than price. The NextLink pack’s own text says Switzerland is not included, and its list has Moldova and Ukraine in its place. The eSIMGo Europe and Europe Special packs both list Switzerland. Europe Premium lists Switzerland and Serbia and leaves out the United Kingdom.

The smaller Europe packs that list 5G are all Sparks or Ubigi plans built around a pair or a cluster: France and Italy, Germany and Austria, Spain and Portugal, UK and Ireland, Benelux and France, Greece Cyprus Turkey, Andorra (with France and Spain), and Jersey Guernsey and IOM. Six of them, the four pairs plus Benelux and France and Greece Cyprus Turkey, come in the same five sizes from 2 GB to 50 GB.

Six Europe families do not list 5G. EUconnect by Airalo covers 28 countries and costs $18.99 for 10 GB over 30 days. The others are Balkans Special, the EU pack with 60 GB and 120 GB sizes, Montenegro and Albania, Russia and Belarus, and Ukraine and Moldova.

That last one is worth a note. Ukraine and Moldova 10 GB is $9.99, the cheapest 10 GB, 30-day pack in Europe, and it lists 4G/LTE only. You can compare all of these on the Europe plans page.

Which Asia eSIM packs list 5G across several countries?

Three backpackers sit at a round table in an open-sided hawker centre: one frowns at his phone with a hand on a paper map, a woman points at the map, and the third eats noodles with chopsticks while glancing over
Asia 14 Countries lists 5G and costs $14.99 for 10 GB, but it has no Singapore. The three-country Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand pack is $10.99.

Fourteen families, covering 51 of the 70 Asia plans. Asia is where the label is most common on mid-sized packs.

The country lists overlap less than the names suggest:

  • Asia 14 Countries lists Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. It has no mainland China and no Singapore.
  • Asia Premium lists China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. It has no Japan.
  • Asia 7 Countries lists Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.

So Japan plus Singapore on one 5G-listed pack is not on offer. For China, Japan and South Korea together, the China Korea Japan family lists 5G and starts at 7 GB for $12.99.

The other 5G-listed Asia families are Brunei Plus, China HK Macau, a second Singapore Malaysia and Thailand pack from provider 3 with 15 GB and 30 GB sizes, and short-trip versions of China Korea Japan and Asia Premium.

Four Asia families list 4G/LTE only: Asialink by Airalo with 16 countries at $18.99 for 10 GB, Asia by eSIMGo with 14 countries at $40.99, APAC with 21 countries, and Central Asia.

Singapore shows why the pack label and the single-country label can disagree. We list 16 single-country Singapore plans and none of them lists 5G. Six pack families that include Singapore do. We cannot tell you from the listing whether Singapore is one of the countries where those packs reach 5G. All Asia packs and single-country plans are on the Asia plans page.

Which North America and Australia packs list 5G?

Half of the North America plans, and every Australia and New Zealand plan.

North America has four families. Canada and USA by Sparks lists 5G, at $31.99 for 10 GB over 30 days. The three-country North America pack exists twice. The eSIMGo version lists 5G on all six sizes and costs $33.99 for 10 GB. The Airalo version lists 4G/LTE on all four sizes and costs $37.99 for 10 GB. Mexico and USA by NextLink lists 4G/LTE.

So if Mexico is on the route and the label matters to you, the eSIMGo North America pack is the one that qualifies.

Australia and NZ is the simplest case. Two providers sell it, nine plans in total, and all nine list 5G. Sizes run from 1 GB at $4.49 to 25 GB at $29.99.

What about the Middle East, Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa?

Across those regions we list 75 multi-country plans, and exactly one lists 5G.

That one is Saudi and UAE: 3 GB, valid for 90 days, $12.99. The wide Middle East pack, MENA, covers 13 countries from Morocco to Oman, costs $26.99 for 10 GB over 30 days and lists 4G/LTE.

Latin America has four families and the Caribbean four more, 42 plans together. None lists 5G. The cheapest wide one at 10 GB over 30 days is Latin America by Airalo, 17 countries, $35.99. LATAM by Sparks covers 10 countries for the same price.

Africa has six families and 26 plans, none listing 5G.

The label is not missing from these regions altogether. It is missing from the packs. Nineteen places have a single-country plan that lists 5G and no 5G-listed pack that covers them. They include Argentina, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Morocco, South Africa, Mauritius, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

In Brazil, all 10 single-country plans list 5G. In Qatar, all 9 do. In South Africa, all 8.

If you are crossing several of these countries and want the label, the choice is two or three single-country plans, or one 4G pack. Mexico and Egypt show the other side: 4 of Mexico’s 10 single-country plans list 5G, and none of Egypt’s 9.

Do global eSIM packs list 5G?

A woman in a denim jacket sits at an airport gate with her chin on her hand, looking out of the window at an airliner being loaded, an orange backpack and a water bottle on the seat beside her
None of the 27 plans that cover 61 or more countries lists 5G. The widest pack that does covers 43.

No. We sell 27 plans that cover 61 or more countries, and none of them lists 5G.

That covers Europe Asia and USA with 80 countries, Global with 96, Global Special with 129, Discover Global with 157, Best World with 174 and World with 185. Half Global, with 51 countries, lists 4G/LTE as well.

The widest pack that lists 5G is Europe and USA by Sparks, with 43 countries. It runs from 1 GB at $3.99 to 60 GB for 60 days at $66.99, plus a 40 GB yearly plan. Two narrower cross-region packs from provider 3 list it too: USA and UK, and a six-place pack for the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.

For a round-the-world trip, that leaves a real choice. One global pack is simpler and lists 4G/LTE throughout. Two or three regional packs list 5G for the legs through Europe, North America and East Asia.

Does a 5G-listed regional pack cost more?

Not in our catalog. At 10 GB over 30 days, the cheapest wide pack that lists 5G is cheaper than the cheapest wide 4G pack in every region that has both.

RegionCheapest wide 5G-listed packPriceCheapest wide 4G/LTE packPrice
EuropeEurope by eSIMGo, 34 countries$13.99EUconnect, 28 countries$18.99
AsiaAsia 14 Countries, 14 countries$14.99Asialink, 16 countries$18.99
North America, 3 countriesNorth America by eSIMGo$33.99North America by Airalo$37.99

“Wide” here means 10 or more countries, except North America, where both packs cover the same three.

The price follows the provider, not the label. What you may give up is top-up. 105 of the 143 packs that list 5G can be topped up. The 38 that cannot are the 35 TSimTech packs and the three Europe Premium unlimited plans. That is why Asia 7 Countries, at $1 more than Asia 14 Countries, can be the better buy on a longer trip: when the data runs out you add more to the same eSIM.

Every one of the 310 multi-country plans allows hotspot, so that is not a reason to choose either way.

Which 5G-listed pack fits your trip length?

Match the plan to the moderate range for your trip, then take the cheapest wide pack that reaches it.

Prices checked on 12 October 2026. The data ranges are the moderate column of the trip data calculator. Each pick is the cheapest plan in a wide 5G-listed pack whose data reaches the top of the range and whose validity covers the trip. All run 30 days unless the row says otherwise.

One cross-region plan undercuts the two-week Europe row. Europe and USA 15 GB is $18.99, covers 43 countries and lists 5G. It is $4 less than the 20 GB Europe plan and has 1 GB more than the top of the range.

Before you settle on a wide pack, check the narrow one. Two weeks in Spain and Portugal fits Spain and Portugal 15 GB at $17.99. A week in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand fits the three-country 10 GB pack at $10.99, which is $4 less than Asia 14 Countries and does include Singapore.

FAQ

Does a 5G regional eSIM give 5G in every country it covers?

The listing does not say. The 5G label is set once for the whole pack, and 133 of the 143 packs that carry it add that 5G depends on network coverage, your device and your phone settings. Where 5G is not available the eSIM uses 4G.

Is there a 5G eSIM that covers most of Europe?

Yes. Four families list 5G and cover 34 to 36 countries: Europe by NextLink, Europe Special, Europe Premium and Europe by eSIMGo. At 10 GB for 30 days the eSIMGo pack is $13.99 and Europe Special is $14.99, checked on 12 October 2026. Check Switzerland and the United Kingdom on the coverage list, since not every pack has both.

Which eSIM lists 5G for Japan and South Korea on one plan?

South Korea and Japan, from provider 3, lists 5G and costs $12.99 for 10 GB over 30 days. If China is on the route too, the China Korea Japan family lists 5G and starts at 7 GB for $12.99. Asia 14 Countries also lists both Japan and South Korea.

Is there a global eSIM with 5G?

Not in our catalog. None of the 27 plans covering 61 or more countries lists 5G. The widest pack that does is Europe and USA, with 43 countries.

Can I top up a 5G multi-country eSIM?

Often. 105 of the 143 multi-country plans that list 5G support top-up, including every Sparks, NextLink and provider 3 pack. TSimTech packs, which make up most of the Asian 5G list, do not.

Conclusion: the label is common on small and European packs, absent on global ones

If your route stays inside Europe, East or Southeast Asia, North America or Australia and New Zealand, a pack that lists 5G exists and costs no more than one that does not. If it runs through Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa or most of the Middle East, no pack lists it and the 5G label lives on single-country plans only. And no pack wider than 43 countries lists it at all. In every case the label is a ceiling for the pack, not a per-country promise.

Before you buy, confirm

  • The network line on the product page reads 5G/4G/LTE, not 4G/LTE.
  • Every country on your route is on the pack’s coverage list.
  • The provider line, where two packs share a name.
  • Whether the pack supports top-up, if the trip is long.
  • Your phone supports 5G and has it switched on.
